FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May, 17 2006 TSX - ISM Frankfurt- OI8

Toronto, Ontario
Inspiration Mining Corporation (the "Corporation") is pleased to announce the results of the continuation of their diamond drilling program on its Langmuir Project, located in Langmuir Township south of Timmins, Ontario. The Langmuir Property consists of 69 unpatented contiguous mining claim units covering approximately 1090 hectares in the north-central portion of Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, and District of Cochrane, Ontario. The property is approximately 25 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario, and hosts the past producing Langmuir No.1 Mine, and majority of the past producing Langmuir No. 2 Mine.

The following assay results of drill hole L105-3 at the former Langmuir No.1 Mine have been received, compiled and condensed to the following:

Drill hole L105-3 was drilled on at azimuth N304oE with collar dips of -45o at coordinates 3,400ft north and 10,435ft east (mine grid coordinates) or Inspiration’s grid coordinates of 12+95m north and 22+86m east.  The drill hole intersected the down dip and down plunge extension of the Langmuir No. 1 – East Zone, from approximately 2.4m (7.9 ft) above to 14.00m (45.9 ft) below the 315 foot underground level on Section 3400N and approximately 6.83m (22.4 ft) below drill hole L105-1.

L105-3 was drilled above hole 30734 to confirm previous historical drilling that indicated 0.560% Ni over 20ft (6.096m) of Zone Z2 and 0.735% Ni over 5.0 feet (1.52m) of Zone Z3; underneath historical hole 76.9 that contained 2.47% Ni over 40.5ft (12.34m) and historical hole 30727, which contained 0.943% Ni over 17.5ft (533m) and 1.735% Ni over 60.0ft (18.29m).

The true width of the zone Z3 is very similar to previously released drill holes L105-1 (press release on SEDAR March 6, 2006) and L105-2 (press release on SEDAR May 8, 2006).  Zone Z3 in drill hole L105-3 contained continuous nickel assays ranging from 1.025% Ni to 9.080% Ni over 15.35m (13.06m true width) or 50.36 ft (42.86ft true width).

The nickel bearing sulphide mineralization, with estimations ranging from 5% to 7% fine grained disseminatations up to massive 100% sulphides, is contained within serpentenized komatiitic ultramaftic extrusive flows with occasional spinifex texture.

The assaying technique used is the industry standard for base metal assaying, which uses nitric and hydrochloric acids that extracts nickel only from sulphide mineralization and not from nickel silicate minerals.

The assaying of split core samples was conducted by Swastika Laboratories, and included the insertion of blanks and standards. The Qualified Person in charge of the Langmuir Project and the person who prepared the technical data in this release is Kian Jensen, B.Sc., P.Geo. (Ont).
