INSPIRATION COMPLETES ENVIRONMENTAL BASELINE STUDY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December, 14 2006 TSX - ISM Frankfurt- OI8

Toronto, Ontario - Inspiration Mining Corporation (the "Corporation") is pleased with the results from the on going diamond drilling programs at their Langmuir North Zone located north of the former producing Langmuir No.2 Mine and the Langmuir No.1 Mine at the Langmuir Project, located in Langmuir Township approximately 25 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario. The Langmuir Property consists of 69 unpatented contiguous mining claim units covering approximately 1090 hectares in the north-central portion of Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, and District of Cochrane, Ontario.

Inspiration has engaged BZ Environmental Consulting of Timmins, Ontario, to conduct a comprehensive documentation of the existing environmental conditions at the Langmuir Project for an Environmental Baseline Study. Due to the lack of any background information pertaining to the former mining activities, the study examined the health of the ecosystem by monitoring water quality, sediment quality, benthos, on site soil quality and vegetation. Monthly water quality samples have been ongoing since May 2006 and will continue for 12 months from that date. This study is a major requirement for future permitting of the property leading to advance exploration status with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.

The above study has been successfully completed and the Corporation is in receipt of the report.

The Qualified Person (QP) in charge of the Langmuir Project and the person who prepared the technical data in this release is Kian Jensen, B.Sc., P.Geo. (Ont).

The TSX has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
